{"id":4167,"date":"2022-04-20T09:10:26","date_gmt":"2022-04-20T09:10:26","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/amer.bilkent.edu.tr\/?p=4167"},"modified":"2022-06-03T08:22:15","modified_gmt":"2022-06-03T08:22:15","slug":"amer-and-elit-joint-literature-and-sustainability-lecture-series","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/amer.bilkent.edu.tr\/index.php\/2022\/04\/20\/amer-and-elit-joint-literature-and-sustainability-lecture-series\/","title":{"rendered":"AMER and ELIT joint Literature and Sustainability Lecture Series"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-4168\" src=\"http:\/\/amer.bilkent.edu.tr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/Reformulation-for-sustainability-Woolworths-to-boost-plant-based-and-healthier-products-portfolio-as-part-of-five-year-plan.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"451\" height=\"254\" \/>As part of Bilkent\u2019s ongoing \u201c<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/web3.bilkent.edu.tr\/sustainability\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Year of Sustainability<\/a><\/strong>,\u201d the\u00a0<strong>Departments of American Culture and Literature and English Language and Literature<\/strong> announce an upcoming lecture series: \u201cLiterature and Sustainability.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>On Thursday, the series continues on April 21 with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.albany.edu\/english\/faculty\/vesna-kuiken\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Dr. Vesna Kuiken&#8217;s<\/strong><\/a> (University at Albany, State University of New York) talk entitled \u201cLife on the Rocks: Celia Thaxter on Ecological Memory.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The final talk in the series will take place on Tuesday, May 10, when <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/pybarra.weebly.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Dr. Priscilla Ybarra&#8217;s<\/a><\/strong> (University of North Texas) presents \u201cSustainability or Reciprocity?: Why Stories Matter.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>All talks will begin at 7:00 pm (Ankara time) and will be held via Zoom.
